Our Story
A relationship with Algeria
As a couple, my wife and I first visited Algeria at the end of 2023. Several indescribable reasons had us visit again. We made contact with Sofiane in 2025 and in a short period our desire to share something of Algeria with our world was met. Sofiane gave us the local partnership needed to think beyond travelling to and fro between Algeria and South Africa for our own adventures.
This relationship with Sofiane has shaped Mediterra Journey, which has become the vessel through which we are sharing North Africa’s (according to us): best kept secret. We believe every client will experience something of the generosity of Algerian hospitality, the scale of its landscapes, and the depth of its history.

Mediterra Journey operates in collaboration with MTours DZ, an Algerian travel agency with established local operations and experience in both outbound and inbound travel. This partnership keeps our work connected to the local market and creates space for future routes between Algeria and South Africa.
